ATLANTA - They're not 100 percent healthy, but the Nationals are getting closer. And for the first time in a while, they've got a fully healthy lineup at their disposal. That's because Ryan Zimmerman has been activated off the disabled list (as has Jose Lobaton, for that matter). A.J. Cole and Pedro Severino were optioned to Triple-A Syracuse to clear roster space for both returning players.
Dusty Baker could go with a lineup of regulars tonight against the Braves, but he won't do that entirely. While Zimmerman is back in his familiar spot at first base, Wilmer Difo (as Baker promised late last night) is getting a start at shortstop, with Danny Espinosa getting a much-needed night off.
Max Scherzer, meanwhile, looks to bounce back from his ragged start in Colorado and recapture the dominant form he had been showing off for a couple of months. This seems like as promising a scenario for that to happen as they get, but we'll see how Scherzer looks once he takes the mound.
