I mustache you a question (updated with Balester in mustache contest)

It's that time of the year! No, not fall or football or the closing weeks until Christmas. It's that time of year when men all over put aside their dignity and penchant for not looking like a creepy old guy and do what men do best - grow facial hair. In the mustache world, it's referred to as Movember, and the Nationals' Collin Balester is on board. At the Movember Web site, Balester's profile shows the Nationals pitcher with a mean-looking 'stache, coupled with the tagline of "Captain of Dirty Staches" The site, which appears to be a celebration of facial hair, is also a place for people to donate money for the best mustache, with proceeds benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation, LIVESTRONG and the Movember Foundation. Right now, Balester needs help. Update: In addition to his Movember activities, Balester is also a nominee for Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year Award, which recognizes the person who best represents or contributes to the mustached community. No, really, it's an honest-to-goodness award presented by the American Mustache Institute. Former President Jimmy Carter will help tabulated the final results for the award, which will be announced at the 'Stache Bash in Chicago on Oct. 28. Among the finalists joining Balester on the ballot are New York political gadfly Jimmy McMillan, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, NFL legend Michael Irvin, Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Keidis, Brewers closer John Axford and former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka.
