Orioles center fielder Adam Jones will receive the 2014 Babe Ruth Museum Community Service Award at the annual Babe's Birthday Bash on Feb. 6 at Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards.
The event, which runs from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m., also will celebrate the 119th anniversary of Ruth's birth in Baltimore on Feb. 6, 1895 and commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ruth's professional baseball debut in February 1914.
"“Baltimore is a second home to me and I am honored to have the opportunity to do my part to help this community,†Jones said in a statement.
The evening will include unlimited ballpark-inspired food and beverages, a silent auction, appearances by local professional and amateur athletes, free parking at Camden Yards and admission to Sports Legends MuseumÂ’s galleries.
Tickets to Babe'Â’s Birthday Bash are $45 each for members of the museum, $55 apiece for the general public when purchased in advance, and $60 each at the door on the night of the event. Ten or more tickets purchased together are discounted at $40 each.

Jones is a three-time All-Star and Gold Glove Award winner who also won a Silver Slugger Award in 2013.
Aside from his efforts on the field, Jones has continued to play an active role in helping to support Baltimore community and its youth. In 2013, Jones and the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation donated $75,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore to help provide a new Learning and Technology Center. He also donated baseball equipment to 30 teams as part of the Baltimore OriolesÂ’ RBI program, a youth outreach program focused on reviving baseball in inner cities and increasing the self-esteem of disadvantaged children, encouraging them to stay in school and off the streets.
Other community organizations Jones supports include the Cool Kids Campaign Foundation, Jackie Robinson Foundation, and OriolesREACH. Additionally, in 2012, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake presented Jones with a Key to the City for his extensive work with Baltimore City youth and children from the Y of Central Maryland.
