Luke Scott hit his second home run tonight in three injury rehab games at Double-A Bowie.
Scott launched a two-run shot to center field in the third inning, allowing Greg Miclat to score and temporarily giving Bowie the lead. Trenton tied the game in the top of the fourth.
Scott has three RBIs tonight. He drove in a run with a ground ball in the first inning.
Scott has homered twice, singled and walked twice since joining the Baysox on Sunday. Before tonight, he hadn't played since Monday because of discomfort in his right shoulder that required another cortisone injection.
Update: Scott lined a two-run double down the right field line in the fifth inning, giving him five RBIs tonight. He must really want to be activated this weekend.
I failed to mention earlier today that Jake Fox hit a three-run homer for Triple-A Norfolk. Now I've done it.
Also, former first-round pick Matt Hobgood has allowed two runs and seven hits in four innings for short-season Single-A Aberdeen. He's walked one, struck out none, thrown a wild pitch and hit a batter.
