Orioles and Mariners lineups and notes

The Orioles arrive in Seattle with a season-high eight-game losing streak and Dylan Bundy attempting tonight to extend his streak of eight consecutive starts allowing three earned runs or fewer.

Bundy has surrendered only two earned runs (three total) and seven hits with 16 strikeouts in three career games against the Mariners covering 14 2/3 innings. Tonight marks his second start.

Former Orioles infielder Tim Beckham has two career hits against Bundy and both are home runs.

Trey Mancini is out of the lineup after being hit yesterday in the left elbow. The Orioles have three healthy reserves, however, after today's roster moves.

Dwight-Smith-Homer-Swing-at-TEX-Gray-Sidebar.jpgDwight Smith Jr. is in left field and batting fourth. Rio Ruiz is playing first base and Chris Davis is on the bench.

Anthony Santander gets another start in right field.

Left-hander Wade LeBlanc was the listed starter but has been replaced by right-hander Tayler Scott, who's being used as an opener. LeBlanc could follow him to the mound.

Scott is a rookie who has made one start among his four appearances and registered a 7.71 ERA and 2.000 WHIP in seven innings. He's allowed six earned runs (eight total) and 11 hits in seven innings.

None of his appearances have lasted more than 2 2/3 innings and his highest pitch count is 44.

LeBlanc has a 6.20 ERA and 1.467 WHIP in nine games this season, including six starts. His three appearances this month have come in relief, including Saturday's game in Oakland when he allowed six runs and eight hits in 2 2/3 innings.

His two previous outings were much better. LeBlanc allowed three runs in 14 innings.

Mancini is 3-for-7 with a home run against LeBlanc, but he's on the bench. Davis is 3-for-8 with a home run.

The Orioles aren't listing a starter for Friday night after placing John Means on the injured list with a strained left shoulder. The spot is TBD. Same with the Mariners starter for Saturday.

Means told the media today in Seattle that he should return when he's eligible.
