The first full-speed session was a rousing success. Machado eventually will increase the distance to 180 feet before he's cleared to play in extended spring training games. Down on the farm, Triple-A Norfolk catcher Caleb Joseph is batting .423 (11-for-26) during a six-game hitting streak, with three doubles, one home run and six RBIs over that stretch. Joseph is 6-for-10 against left-handers this season. Alexi Casilla leads International League shortstops with a 1.000 fielding percentage, having handled all 35 chances cleanly.
