Catcher Samuel Basallo, the No. 2 prospect in the Orioles organization, was named the Eastern League’s top prospect in voting by managers.

In 106 games this season before his promotion to Triple-A Norfolk, Basallo slashed .289/.355/.465 with 22 doubles, 16 home runs, 55 RBIs and nine stolen bases.
