Orioles Game 1 lineup vs. White Sox (updated)

CHICAGO - Trey Mancini has returned to the Orioles' lineup today for Game 1 of the doubleheader against the White Sox.

Mancini is batting second and playing right field.

Renato Núñez is the first baseman while Chris Davis goes to the bench.

Hanser Alberto is playing third base. Stevie Wilkerson is in left field.

David Hess faced the White Sox last week in Baltimore and allowed four runs in five innings. He retired 12 of the first 13 batters faced before his start crumbled in the fifth. James McCann hit a three-run homer.

Left-hander Carlos Rodón is averaging 4.4 walks and 11.6 walks per nine innings. He's registered a 4.94 ERA and 1.387 WHIP in six starts over 31 innings. Left-handed hitters are 1-for-12 against him.

Rodón, a first-round pick out of North Carolina State, is 0-2 with a 3.79 ERA and 1.263 WHIP in four career games (three starts) against the Orioles.

Dwight Smith Jr. is 11-for-33 against left-handers this season, and he's the designated hitter for Game 1. He entered the season with three career hits against lefties.

Smith's 11 hits are tied for the most by a left-handed hitter versus a southpaw in the American League.

The Orioles are batting .216 in four games on the road trip, averaging 1.8 runs per game.

Andrew Cashner starts Game 2 for the Orioles, who are off Thursday before opening a three-game series Friday night against the Rays at Camden Yards. Dan Straily opposes Tyler Glasnow.

Dylan Bundy starts Saturday and left-hander John Means takes the ball Sunday. Glasnow is the only confirmed starter for Tampa Bay.

Double-A Bowie's Hunter Harvey allowed three home runs over 2 2/3 innings today against Richmond. He was charged with three earned runs and six total, and his ERA is 6.20.

Chance Sisco and Mason Williams have homered today for Triple-A Norfolk, and Ryan Mountcastle is 3-for-4 with an RBI to raise his average to .317.

Josh Rogers allowed one run and five hits over seven innings against Durham, with no walks and five strikeouts.

Jimmy Yacabonis is pitching the eighth inning, so he's not the 26th man for Game 2. We can start the process of elimination.

Left-hander Tanner Scott could be the choice if the Orioles bring up a pitcher.
