Joey Rickard is in right field today and Trey Mancini is the designated hitter as the Orioles try to build on last night's 5-1 win over the Indians.

Chris Davis continues to bat cleanup, with Stevie Wilkerson behind him. Richie Martin is the shortstop and Pedro Severino is catching.

John Means is making his seventh start and 11th appearance. He's 5-3 with a 2.33 ERA and 1.034 WHIP in 38 2/3 innings.

Left-handers are 3-for-28 with 12 strikeouts against Means, who's allowed one earned run in five starts.

Right-hander Adam Plutko is making his 2019 debut after going 4-5 last season with a 5.28 ERA and 1.317 WHIP in 17 games (12) starts over 76 2/3 innings. He made two starts at Triple-A Columbus this year and allowed six runs with four walks in 5 1/3 innings.

Left-handers have hit .313/.374/.646 against Plutko in the majors and right-handers have hit .220/.267/.476.

In his only career start against the Orioles on Aug. 18, Plutko allowed three runs and three hits in seven innings in the Indians' 4-2 loss. Jonathan Villar hit a three-run homer.

Villar's three-run homer last night keyed the win.
