Game-worn caps & jerseys auction to benefit Marie Selby Botanical Gardens
The Orioles will host "Go Green" day, presented by Waste Pro, at Ed Smith Stadium for St. Patrick's Day on Thursday, March 17, when the Orioles host the Minnesota Twins at 7:05 p.m. ET. Orioles players and coaches will wear specially-designed white jerseys with green Orioles script lettering and a shamrock on the right sleeve with green caps for the game. The caps and jerseys will be autographed, authenticated and auctioned online at www.orioles.com/spring to benefit Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
Orioles fans may bid online to support Selby Gardens in the Orioles' annual Go Green auction at www.orioles.com/spring beginning Thursday, March 17, at 7:05 p.m. through Thursday, March 24, at 10:00 p.m. The club will present the donation total from the auction to Selby Gardens prior to the final home game of spring training on Thursday, March 31. Last year, the auction raised nearly $8,000.
Selby Gardens is a world-renowned botanical garden and leader in environmental research and education nestled in an urban setting on the shores of Sarasota Bay.
