Quick Jurrjens and Dickerson updates, and Rays lineup (Beal starting)

SARASOTA, Fla. - Pitcher Jair Jurrjens had X-rays taken on his right ribcage this morning and he's waiting for a team physician to review them and pass along the results. Jurrjens said he's still bothered by soreness and stiffness on his right side. He had difficulty sitting down at his locker. Update: Jurrjens' X-rays were negative. He will take today off and could pitch later in the week if the soreness subsides. Also, outfielder Trayvon Robinson is still day-to-day with soreness in his lower back. He hasn't played since leaving the March 24 game against the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton. He took batting practice yesterday and the back stiffened up after he returned to the clubhouse, and again this morning. Outfielder Chris Dickerson has his right ankle taped, but he insists that he's available to play tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays at Ed Smith Stadium. Dickerson rolled his ankle while chasing a fly ball in the eighth inning last night and had to leave the game. He said there's no structural damage and he's fine. We're still waiting for the Orioles lineup to be posted and confirmation on the starting pitcher. Update II: Jesse Beal, 22, is starting tonight for the Orioles. Beal, a 14th-round pick in the 2008 draft out of South County (Va.) High School, impressed manager Buck Showalter during a recent bullpen session. Part of the reason is his size - he's listed at 6 foot 7. Beal underwent labrum surgery and didn't pitch in 2011. He was 2-4 with a 4.70 ERA in 27 relief appearances last year at Single-A Delmarva. He was 7-6 with a 3.86 ERA in 19 starts at Delmarva in 2010 and made the South Atlantic League's Northern Division All-Star team. For the Rays: Desmond Jennings DH Sam Fuld CF Ben Zobrist RF Evan Longoria 3B Matt Joyce LF Yunel Escobar SS James Loney 1B Jose Lobaton C Kelly Johnson 2B David Price LHP
