Reynolds' second homer ties game (O's win 6-4)

Mark Reynolds wasn't satisfied with hitting his 35th homer tonight. He also wasn't willing to let the Orioles trail by two runs. Reynolds homered again off Josh Beckett, his two-run shot in the seventh inning tying the game, 4-4. Matt Wieters singled and was forced at second on Adam Jones' fielder's choice grounder. Reynolds took a 93 mph fastball for a ball, fouled off another one and launched a curveball. Reynolds has 14 career multi-homer games, the most recent before tonight coming on Aug. 7 against the Blue Jays at Camden Yards. He's hit four homers in his last four games and drive in nine runs. Update: Tommy Hunter left the game with two outs in the bottom of the seventh with an apparent injury to his right leg or groin. Clay Rapada, the lefty specialist, replaced him and struck out Adrian Gonzalez on three pitches. Hunter allowed four runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings, with one walk and four strikeouts. He threw 97 pitches, 68 for strikes. Update II: The Orioles have taken a 6-4 lead in the eighth inning on Vladimir Guerrero's two-run single off reliever Alfredo Aceves, who replaced Josh Beckett after J.J. Hardy's single and Nick Markakis' ground-rule double. All six runs are charged to Beckett, who had been cruising until Robert Andino singled and scored in the sixth. Update III: Jim Johnson recorded his seventh save in his last eight appearances, as the Orioles completed an 6-4 victory over the Red Sox for their first four-game series win at Fenway Park since Aug. 8-10, 2003. Johnson didn't let a ball out of the infield. He's got closer written all over him.
