ORANGE & BLACK GIVES BACK: Classroom Set Up at Harlem Park Elementary Middle School

As part of their Adopt-A-School initiative, members of Orange & Black Gives Back, the Orioles employee volunteer program, and current Orioles players, coaches, and their families will assist teachers at Harlem Park Elementary Middle School with setting up and decorating their classrooms in preparation for the upcoming school year. The Orioles also provided Harlem Park teachers with $7,000 in gift cards to Lakeshore Learning Store, a local educational supply store, to help purchase classroom necessities.

PITCH, HIT, AND RUN REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Orioles will host Major League Baseball and RCX Sports for the Pitch, Hit, and Run regional championship. The championship, which will be held at Oriole Park, is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pitch, Hit, and Run serves as an opportunity for boys and girls, ages 7 to 14, to showcase their baseball and softball skills, while also competing for a chance to attend the 2024 MLB World Series. The Orioles will provide all participants with tickets to that night’s game.

HEROES CORNER, presented by The Good Feet Store: United Way of Central Maryland

The Orioles will donate tickets to UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL MARYLAND as part of their Heroes Corner program, presented by The Good Feet Store. The United Way of Central Maryland promotes equity, creates opportunity, and improves lives and communities by increasing access to basic needs like education, employment, health, and housing. Founded in 2021, the Heroes Corner program serves as a way for the Orioles to show their appreciation for frontline workers and volunteers in the community.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Emily Margevich

MARGEVICH, a performer at the Baltimore opera, will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

FIRST PITCH: Corona Sweepstakes Winner

The winner of the Corona Sweepstakes will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

BIRDLAND MEMBER REWARDS: Pregame On-Field Opportunity

CITY CONNECT FRIDAY

The Orioles will wear their City Connect jerseys at each Friday home game throughout the regular season, and this year, every City Connect Friday will be dedicated to Harlem Park Elementary Middle School. As part of the Orioles’ Adopt-A-School campaign, Harlem Park staff will attend batting practice, and Orioles players and coaches will wear Harlem Park themed batting practice shirts.

GIVEAWAY: Gunnar Henderson Bobblehead, presented by Royal Farms

The first 25,000 fans ages 15 and over will receive a GUNNAR HENDERSON BOBBLEHEAD, presented by Royal Farms.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: India Boone

BOONE will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. She will also perform “This Land Is Your Land” from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

FIRST PITCH: Northop Gruman

A representative from NORTHOP GRUMAN will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.

HONOR GUARD: Baltimore County Fire Department

The BALTIMORE COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT will present the colors from the field during the national anthem.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 24

EARLY BIRD SATURDAY, presented by Coors Light

Gates will open to fans two hours prior to the first pitch every Saturday home game this season. This Saturday, SKIES IN CHAOS, a local cover band, will perform for fans in Legends Park from 2-3:45 p.m. Fans can also enjoy special happy hour deals at Legends Park from 2-3 p.m., including select $5 16 oz. domestic beers as well as $2.50 soft pretzels and popcorn.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Matthew Moore

MOORE will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. He will also perform “America the Beautiful” from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

PREGAME CEREMONY: 2024 Hall of Fame Ceremony

The Orioles will recognize former Orioles right fielder NICK MARKAKIS, former hitting coach and first baseman/designated hitter TERRY CROWLEY, and Herb Armstrong Award winning scout, the late DICK BOWIE as part of a special Hall of Fame induction ceremony prior to the game. The on-field ceremony is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. and will include speeches from Markakis, Crowley, and Bowie’s son, Randy Bowie. In celebration of their Hall of Fame induction, Markakis and Crowley will throw out the ceremonial first pitches. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats and tune into MASN2 by 3:25 p.m. to watch the festivities.

BERKS LIVE HOT DOG RACE

The Camden Franks will compete against one another live at Oriole Park. Ketchup, Mustard, and Relish will race around the right field warning track and down the first base line. Fans will have the opportunity to see the Camden Franks in the Live Hot Dog Race at Oriole Park at Camden Yards during select home games this year. HEROES CORNER, presented by The Good Feet Store: Baltimore Hunger Project

The Orioles will donate tickets to BALTIMORE HUNGER PROJECT as part of their Heroes Corner program, presented by The Good Feet Store. The Baltimore Hunger Project is committed to eliminating the growing problem of weekend childhood hunger by providing food packages to children identified as food insecure, helping to bridge the gap between Friday and Monday. Founded in 2021, the Heroes Corner program serves as a way for the Orioles to say thank you and show appreciation for frontline workers and volunteers in the community.

MILITARY SUITES, presented by RBR-Technologies: Fort George G. Meade

The Orioles will invite military members and their families from FORT GEORGE G. MEADE to the ballpark as part of their Military Suites Program, presented by RBR-Technologies. Fort George G. Meade supports the nation’s platform for intelligence, information, and cyber operations, providing services that enhance mission readiness and quality of life for their tenants, workforce, families, and the community. Together, the Orioles and RBR-Technologies will provide the group with a complimentary catered suite, O's themed military hats and t-shirts, and an in-game welcome.

PREGAME CEREMONY: Maryland Teacher of the Year Recognition

The Orioles will honor the 2024 Maryland Teacher of the Year nominees as part of a special pregame ceremony. The Maryland Teacher of the Year program is the state’s premiere teacher recognition program, representing each of the 24 local school systems throughout the state.

FIRST PITCH: Mary Kay Connerton

The Maryland Teacher of the Year, CONNERTON will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. A physical educator and wellness coordinator at Annapolis High School in Anne Arundel County, Connerton created the district’s first yoga course, which is offered at every high school with two subsequent courses and a defined teaching training program.

The MARYLAND HONOR GUARD will present the colors from the field during the national anthem.

HUGHES will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. He will also perform “God Bless America” from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

MONDAY, AUGUST 26

ORANGE & BLACK GIVES BACK: First Day of School at Harlem Park Elementary Middle School

As part of the Orioles’ Adopt-A-School initiative, members of Orange & Black Gives Back, the Orioles employee volunteer project, will welcome Harlem Park Elementary Middle School students back to school. The back-to-school celebration will also feature local DJ Might Mark and a special appearance from the Oriole Birds. The Orioles provided each student with school supplies to help set them up for a successful school year.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28

ORANGE & BLACK GIVES BACK: The Baltimore Station

Orange & Black Gives Back, the Orioles employee volunteer program, will prepare, serve, and have lunch with veterans living at The Baltimore Station. The Baltimore Station is an innovative therapeutic residential treatment program supporting veterans as they overcome obstacles to regain self-sufficiency.

ORIOLE PARK PROMOS

50/50 RAFFLE AT ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS

The Orioles will host a 50/50 Raffle at each regular season home game to benefit a charity in the Baltimore community and the Ted Williams Foundation, giving fans the opportunity to make a direct impact across Birdland while trying to hit the jackpot at Camden Yards. Raffle tickets may be purchased from uniformed raffle-ticket sellers and via QR codes throughout the ballpark until the end of the 7th inning. The winning number will be announced in the bottom of the eighth inning. This homestand, the 50/50 Raffle will benefit The Movement Team. The Movement Team provides intensive mentoring, enrichment, and support to in-school and out-of-school youth and their families, as well as targeted resources to the greater Baltimore community.
