Tommy Hunter, Scott Feldman and Adam Jones comment after O's loss to N.Y.

Moments after the second tough loss to the Yankees in two days, Tommy Hunter talked about the pitch that Robinson Cano hit off him for a tiebreaking homer in the ninth inning. "I mean, it is always tough to lose," Hunter said. "Always tough to be the guy to give it up. You know, he had to hit it. He did. It's tough to say tip your cap, but sometimes you have to do it. "I was trying to throw a changeup that he swung and missed and I didn't do that. He didn't miss it." Hunter came on and got Alex Rodriguez out to end the eighth and stayed on for the ninth and wanted to be out there at that point. "Yeah, it was a tight game. I like to be in them. I'd like to have that back. That is the tough part. Being in September, being in a race. Losing a game late. "That is going to be tough but this is a resilient crowd, good group to be around and we will come back tomorrow and go to work," he said. Scott Feldman had a night where he gave up just three hits over 7 2/3 innings, but two were homers and he left in a 3-3 tie in the eighth. "Yeah, two of them left the yard," Feldman said. "They made me pay on those. That was a tough one and made a couple of bad pitches there, one to (Curtis) Granderson and one to (Alex) Rodriguez. The pitch to Rodriguez I was trying to go in and kind of left it middle down and that is where he is hammering the ball lately. That was a bad pitch. "Everyone is trying their best out there. Tonight it didn't work out. We are still in striking distance obviously, so keep our heads high and try to go out there tomorrow and split this series." Adam Jones talked about a loss where the O's didn't hold a 3-1 lead and their bottom of the ninth rally fell one run short. "It is always tough to swallow a loss," Jones said. "We are playing against teams that are in the same situation as us. We have to be better, we have to be stronger later in the innings as an offense, as a defense, as a pitching staff. "This is a team loss. Can't pin it on one person. Everyone that dons that Oriole uniform, we are in it together. As a team, we just have to be that much better," he said.
