Tough times for Tillman through the fourth (Schoop homers)

Chris Tillman won't follow up Miguel Gonzalez's quality start yesterday with one of his own in Milwaukee. Tillman has made it through four innings, three more than his previous outing in Pittsburgh, but he's thrown 79 pitches and the Orioles trail 4-3. The Brewers scored twice in the fourth on Jean Segura's two-run double after Tillman issued back-to-back walks to Khris Davis and Lyle Overbay, raising his total to four. Three of the four batters he's walked have come around to score. Tillman has been missing high all day and has received a couple of visits from new catcher Nick Hundley. Hundley, by the way, threw out Carlos Gomez attempting to steal in the second inning after going 0-for-9 this season with the Padres. Tillman allowed his first third-inning run today and lost his lead in the fourth. Tillman has now allowed 10 earned runs, and 12 total, in his last two starts spanning five-plus innings since tossing a shutout in Kansas City. Down on the farm, Double-A Bowie's Christian Walker hit his 13th home run today, tying for the Eastern League lead. According to the Baysox tweet, the ball landed on top of the team store in left field. Update: Tillman served up back-to-back home runs to Davis and Overbay in the sixth and trails 6-3. Tillman came out of the game with two outs in the sixth and his pitch count at 103. Tillman has allowed six earned runs in consecutive starts since his shutout. Overbay is 8-for-19 with four homers lifetime against Tillman. Update II: Jonathan Schoop hit his fourth home run of the season to reduce Milwaukee's lead to 6-4 in the seventh inning. Kyle Lohse hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in any start this season.
