Uggla and Ramirez find way to solve Strasburg

Okay, so he is human. The Marlins scored six runs on Stephen Strasburg in Tuesday's 8-2 win at Nats Park, doubling the most earned runs Strasburg had allowed in nine previous major league starts. Second baseman Dan Uggla got on Strasburg early with a two-run blast in the first inning and then a two-run double in the third. Uggla said Strasburg wasn't in the same groove as the first time he faced him on July 16. "It is his first start back. He was out there, kind of feeling for it a little bit. His command wasn't as good as the first time we faced him. His stuff was there though. His fastball was explosive and his curveball had good break on it. The biggest difference was his command. " Uggla said he didn't really think he hit the home run all that well, but it found its way into the left field stands. "I kind of got lucky. I am not going to lie. I didn't hit the ball that went out that well, it just happened to carry far enough. "The second one, I don't know if it was a fastball or changeup, it was up in the zone and I was just trying to be aggressive." Uggla has done pretty well against Strasburg in facing him in early in his career, going 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two runs and 4 RBI in two games. Strasburg knew it wasn't his night from that first inning but kept fighting to try to remedy the situation. "I am a little disappointed in myself because I really went out there not focusing on the one thing that you really got to focus on every other start: just going out there and competing and going with what you had. "I spent the whole time worrying about trying to fix what was going wrong instead of letting go and just throwing the ball." Shortstop Hanley Ramirez connected on three doubles, two of them off of Strasburg, and says the young right-hander will have no trouble bouncing back quickly from the loss. "It happens in this game. It is just one day. It is okay. He is good. He knows what he needs to do to go back out there and do his job. One day you are going to be good and one day it is a bad day. That's it. He will be fine."
