Weekly Wrap: Looking toward spring training

Thirty-four days until pitchers and catchers report to Sarasota, Fla., for the start of spring training. But who's counting? This week, MASN announced its spring training broadcast schedule, with six games being aired on MASN HD. 774716_558232850871176_2089603145_o.jpgSomething even closer to look forward to is the Orioles' annual FanFest event. We have exciting games, events and more planned for the MASN booth. While I have spent many days and nights at Camden Yards, I will admit that this will be the first year that I attend FanFest. Speaking on behalf of the MASNsports.com staff, we're looking forward to meeting fans and gearing up for another season of Orioles baseball. For tickets and more information, check out orioles.com/fanfest. After a slow offseason, I'm sure that there are many questions that Orioles fans will have headed to FanFest. Will the Orioles sign a starting pitcher? Will Nick Markakis return to his norm in 2014? Will Manny Machado and Wei-Yin Chen be ready for opening day? And most importantly: What was Machado doing with Alex Rodriguez at a Jay Z concert? For these headlines and more, keep checking out MASNsports.com. We'll keep rounding up headlines every Friday on our Weekly Wrap, so see you back here next week and see you in a few weeks at FanFest! Here are some other headlines that you may have missed this week: * Orioles set minor league staff for 2014 season * Showalter on Balfour physical and outside physicians commenting on it * Maddux, Glavine and Thomas elected to Hall of Fame, Palmeiro off ballot * Orioles sign Gamboa and Clark to minor league deals * Dickerson and Teagarden sign minor league deals with Pirates and Mets * Jones to receive award at Babe's Birthday Bash
