Who follows Chen to the mound in ALCS?

KANSAS CITY - It's raining harder at Kauffman Stadium than a few hours ago. Major League Baseball made the right decision to postpone Game 3 of the American League Championship Series. Orioles manager Buck Showalter confirmed that Wei-Yin Chen remains the Game 3 starter on Tuesday night. He didn't commit to a Game 4 starter, saying Miguel Gonzalez and Chris Tillman are options. Gonzalez hasn't pitched since the final regular season game in Toronto, unless you count a simulated game at Camden Yards. Tillman lasted 4 1/3 innings in Game 1 of the ALCS. "Now what to do in Kansas City?" Showalter asked as he sat down to address the media. "Chen will pitch tomorrow, and after that we'll probably have a better idea. The weather report's good tomorrow, right? That's about all I can tell you today until Dave (Wallace) and I sit down and look at it a little bit." Tillman threw a bullpen session today and said he's ready if needed in Game 4. "We haven't really talked about it yet," he said. "I just got done throwing a bullpen and whatever they need me to do, I'm willing to do. I think we've got four guys that can throw any day if we need them to. That's a plus. "I feel fine, I feel good. Normal. Same as I do every other start. Not great, but that's baseball. I just prepare and do the same thing you do all year." Tillman would like to erase the memory of his Game 1 start. "Anytime you don't get deep in a game, it's frustrating, whether it be postseason or regular season. I think it's not fun," he said. "It's not fun to watch your guys go out there and compete when you should probably still be in the game. We're capable of doing it, but at the same time, it's a little pet peeve of mine." Royals manager Ned Yost said Jeremy Guthrie will start Game 3. He also wouldn't commit to a Game 4 starter, with Jason Vargas originally slated to pitch. Yost suggested that James Shields could return on normal rest. Is having the night off an advantage for the Orioles, who need the Royals to cool down? "No," Showalter replied. "I appreciate you throwing it out there, but you get good things going this time of year, it's about who pitches better and plays better. I don't think so. If anything, it's great for the restaurant business in Kansas City. That's about it. Room service is expensive in that hotel. "That's what's so fascinating this time of the year. There are so many things that happen that logically shouldn't, but they do, and they go away from the norm. That's why it's fascinating to watch."
