Game 11 lineups: Nats vs. Braves (Eaton scratched)

It's a beautiful spring afternoon here in the nation's capital, the kind of day you'd much rather be sitting inside a ballpark watching a game than, oh I don't know, sitting in the Senate Judiciary hearing room, to name just one alternative. ...

The real news in town is taking place 1 1/2 miles down South Capitol Street, where the Nationals are looking to make it two in a row against the Braves. And they'll do so with a new lineup wrinkle. Seeking to create some more protection for Bryce Harper, manager Davey Martinez has moved Anthony Rendon down to the cleanup spot, with Ryan Zimmerman (currently batting .097) bumped to the 5-spot. That also means Trea Turner moves up to the No. 2, creating a nice top-of-the-order punch with Adam Eaton.

Howie Kendrick, who had to come out of last night's game when his leg tightened up, is not in the lineup tonight. It'll be Wilmer Difo at second base. One roster transaction, as well: Miguel Montero has returned from paternity leave, with Jhonatan Solano placed on the 10-day disabled list with bone spurs in his right elbow. I don't think Solano just suddenly sustained that injury sitting on the bench the last three days. He most likely has played through it for a while but now is being given a chance to make big league money and not be designated for assignment (since he's out of options).

Strasburg-Throws-Camo-Uniform-Side.jpgStephen Strasburg takes the mound, and he'll be looking to keep the ball in the park after serving up two homers to the Mets in his last outing.

Update: Eaton actually has been scratched with what the Nationals are calling a left ankle bone bruise. You'll recall he hurt his ankle scoring from first base during Thursday's home opener and had to miss one game, though he said the pain he felt was a result of scar tissue breaking up in his ankle. Turns out it may have been something else. Brian Goodwin will now lead off and start in left field tonight.
