Game 121 lineups: Nats vs. Brewers

The Nationals have announced starters for this weekend. Aníbal Sánchez will start Saturday night, with Erick Fedde taking the mound Sunday afternoon. Obviously, neither of those guys is named Max Scherzer, so it appears the ace's return from the injured list isn't happening quite yet. But before you panic, he's out throwing in the outfield right now, so it doesn't appear he's had any setback. The Nats are just taking a more cautious approach with his return.

But enough about the rest of the weekend. Let's not forget tonight's opener of a big weekend series against a fellow National League wild card contender. The Brewers come to town having been through both some ups and downs of late. So far this month they've lost four in a row, won five in a row, lost two in a row and then won their last game Wednesday against the Twins.

Patrick Corbin gets the ball for the Nats. After a ragged start in Arizona, he bounced back with six innings of two-run ball last weekend in New York. The lefty hasn't lost at home since April 29. That's a long time.

Gomes-Catches-Popup-Blue-Sidebar.jpgThe lineup features the usual suspects, with Matt Adams at first, Brian Dozier at second and Yan Gomes catching Corbin (as he typically does). That group faces Brewers right-hander Adrian Houser, who was excellent last time out, holding the Rangers to one run and three hits over six innings, striking out 10.
