The Nationals and Brewers didn't get much sleep last night, so these will be some weary teams that take the field this afternoon for the series finale. The good news: Though it's going to be hot and humid, the chance of rain appears to be minimal, some welcome relief after what happened Friday and Saturday nights.
The Nats are going for a series victory, one that would not even be possible if not for their eighth-inning rally last night, with Juan Soto's bases-loaded single proving the difference in a 5-4 win. They'll do so with Jefry Rodriguez on the mound, the rookie's first start since he shut out the Mets over six innings one week ago at Citi Field.
Junior Guerra starts for Milwaukee. The right-hander gave up four runs (though only one earned) in six innings against the Nationals on July 24 at Miller Park, with Adam Eaton delivering a three-run homer in that game.
