Lineups: Nats vs. Cardinals in West Palm Beach on MASN

We've reached the final stretch at last. Two more days, two more exhibition games before the Nationals break camp and head north for good. And after Saturday's events, there suddenly isn't much left for them to decide before opening day.

The swath of transactions they made during the off-day essentially set the 26-man roster. Unless they acquire another infielder or reliever before Thursday, the opening night lineup is almost certainly going include both Starlin Castro and Josh Harrison, the bench both Hernán Pérez and Jordy Mercer. Can't say anyone predicted that on Feb. 17.

Corbin-Throws-Red-ST-Sidebar.jpgThe rotation has appeared to be set for a while now; it was only a matter of the order. And we're still trying to figure that out exactly. We know Max Scherzer, who pitched Saturday, is starting opening night. Jon Lester is starting today against the Cardinals, but Patrick Corbin is scheduled to pitch as well, giving both lefties a chance to build up their pitch count. And Stephen Strasburg will start Monday's Grapefruit League finale against the Astros. Then it's just a matter of who's pitching when next weekend and beyond.

Oh, and guess what? You can watch both today and Monday's games live on MASN. That's right, Bob Carpenter and F.P. Santangelo are back and will have the call beginning at 1 p.m. Enjoy ...
