Marlins-Nationals series finale postponed due to rain (updated)

The highly anticipated matchup of Gio Gonzalez and Josh Johnson will have to wait for another day. The final game of a three-game set between the Marlins and Nationals has been postponed due to inclement weather. No makeup date has yet been announced, but it will definitely not be tomorrow, as the Nats are flying out to West Coast for their six-game road trip. This means the Nationals will conclude their homestand with an impressive 8-2 record. They just missed out on securing a four-game sweep of both the Reds and Astros, but let's go ahead and give them an abbreviated two-game sweep of Miami. Barring any changes to the Padres' rotation, Gonzalez will now oppose San Diego lefty Clayton Richard on Tuesday. Update: According to a team-issued press release, tickets for today's game can be exchanged at the Nationals Park box office for seats of equal or lesser value for the rescheduled makeup game or a regular or value game during the 2012 regular season (excluding prime and marquee games). For more information on exchanging tickets purchased through nationals.com or the Nationals telephone charge line, please call 888-632-NATS (6287). On game days, the box office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 30 minutes after the end of the game, and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 30 minutes after the end of the game. Box office hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
