The Washington Nationals reinstated right-handed pitchers Erick Fedde and Kyle Finnegan from the 10-day Injured List and optioned right-handed pitcher Ryne Harper and left-handed pitcher Kyle Lobstein to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcements.
Fedde, 28, will start for the Nationals on Tuesday night. He is 4-4 with a 3.90 ERA in 11 starts this season. Prior to being placed on the Injured List with a strained oblique on June 27, Fedde pitched to a 1.96 ERA (5 ER/23.0 IP) while going 2-0 in four starts. He posted a team-best and career-best 21.0 scoreless innings streak from May 11 to June 23.
Finnegan, 29, is 3-2 with seven holds, a 3.86 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 33 games out of Washington's bullpen. He missed 14 games after being placed on the Injured List on June 22 with a left hamstring strain.
Harper, 32, has pitched to a 0.93 ERA in eight games out of Washington's bullpen.
Lobstein, 31, has pitched to a 20.25 ERA in three games out of Washington's bullpen.
