Out of the Park: A look at what the Nats are doing outside of spring training workouts

It's been a somewhat quiet week on social media for the Nationals, which can be a good thing with the full team reporting and working out in Viera, Fla. They're more concerned with what they're doing on the field than what they're doing off of it.

But how are the Nats winning off the field? (Anyone?) I found some nuggets for those of you who are wondering how the team is doing all-around at spring training.

Earlier this week, MASNsports.com's Mark Zuckerman wrote about the story behind new Nats manager Dusty Baker and his signature toothpick. Meanwhile, the Nationals gave an up-close view of his similarly signature sweatbands.

Reliever Blake Treinen found himself as a clue on the popular quiz show "Jeopardy!" this week.

So not only do you get a lot of swing-and-misses when your sinker hits triple digits, but you also become a part of trivia!

Following Baker's message at the first full-sqaud meeting to "think like a family," pitchers Joe Ross, Erik Davis and other Nationals made the trip to nearby Orlando to watch the Magic take on reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry and the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

All Curry did was score 51 points and hit a three-pointer in his record 128th straight game. It was his fourth career game of scoring at least 50 points while making at least 10 three-pointers. Fun fact: The rest of the NBA only has three such games ever.

A lot of hoopla has been made of what Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is driving to spring training every day, and quite frankly, MASN's Dan Kolko thinks it's tired news.

I heard Uber was surging around Port St. Lucie, so he grabbed a Lyft instead.
