After a week filled with rumors at the Winter Meetings, the Nationals returned home to Washington, D.C.
Two days later, your favorite Nationals players and coaches attended NatsFest, giving fans a taste of the upcoming baseball season. To hold you over until spring training, we will continue to air some of the greatest games in Nationals history on MASN HD.
This week, we are airing two "Nationals Classics" from last season, including Jordan Zimmermann's no-hitter and yet another Ryan Zimmerman game-winning home run.
Here's what's on deck this week:
Monday, Dec. 15, 7 p.m.: On the last day of the 2014 regular season, Zimmermann pitched the first no-hitter in Nationals history. Zimmermann issued just one walk and outfielder Steven Souza Jr. kept history intact my making an outrageous leaping grab to secure the milestone. Ian Desmond hit a solo home run as the Nats won 1-0.
Tuesday, Dec. 16, 11 a.m.: On June 24, the Nats were trailing 2-1 in eighth inning of a game against the Brewers. Then Anthony Rendon knotted the score with a solo home run. Little did the Nats and Brewers know, they would play eight more innings before Zimmerman hit a game-winning two-run home run in the top of the 16th inning. The Nats defeated the Brewers 4-2.
