A quizzical look at the Orioles

I'm keeping it simple today while thinking that we could have some news later this week. Just don't hold me to it.

I also predicted that Christmas would come early and now I'm wondering if my source was mistaken.

Go ahead and take the latest quiz while you wait. There's no pressure because I don't grade them. This is more of an exercise without the spandex and sweat.

Chris Davis is going to hit:

If a starter remains on the free agent market in late March, the Orioles should:

OK, ditch the Cs and get serious.

The Orioles probably will select a player in the Rule 5 draft because it's an affordable avenue, but they won't repeat the mistake of trying to carry three on opening day. They might not hold onto the guy they select. But it's a low-risk move.

A manager will be in place before pitchers and catchers report. Don't ask for his identity because, again, it depends on the preference of the new head of baseball operations.

Being a former Oriole won't automatically get you in the door.

Mike Bordick, one-time shortstop and current MASN analyst and Orioles infield instructor, is interested in the job. But we have no way of knowing whether the president, or whatever title he holds, is going to consider him as a candidate.

Also, the Orioles aren't expected to bring back Álvarez for a fourth time, but never count out Rosa.
