Bordick talks about going to bullpen (Bundy takes physical)

Former shortstop Mike Bordick begins his stint as interim bullpen coach tonight. "I'm looking at this as an opportunity to learn more about the game, that side of the game," he said. "It'll help when I go back down to the minor leagues. Maybe I can interject something to some pitchers, some stuff that I've learned from these guys. That's the way I'm looking at it. And obviously, being able to help throw BP and hitting ground balls and stuff. Maybe build some more relationship here at this level." Bordick will be in the bullpen through the current homestand. Once the Orioles go on the road, Bordick is expected to go back to his old role. "I think that's the way it's going to be," he said. So will Bordick be offering advice to the relievers as they warm up? Not a chance. "I am not going to do that," he said, grinning. "No, I'm not." NOTE: First-round pick Dylan Bundy took his physical this afternoon and left the ballpark with his father, Denver, to watch brother Bobby pitch tonight at Double-A Bowie. Don't take Dylan's presence here as a sign that he ... signed. Negotiations haven't started.
