Bryce Harper 1-for-1 with a double, walk in Potomac rehab return (updated)

Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper went 1-for-1 with a double, walk and run scored in the high Single-A Potomac Nationals' 7-5 win over Myrtle Beach. It was Harper's first rehab game and first professional game since May 26 when he was placed on the disabled list with bursitis in his left knee. Harper did not have to make any plays in the outfield. One ground-rule double went over his head. However, a team source at the game said he was able to show a burst of speed before the ball hopped on top of the wall. On offense, he had a bloop double to left in his first at-bat. Later, Harper was picked off second base. Harper played three full innings for Potomac before being replaced by Caleb Ramsey. The scheduled plan is for Harper to play six or seven innings Wednesday night for Potomac. Also, the test is to see how the knee reacts Wednesday morning to playing in his first game in a month. Manager Davey Johnson said in pregame he hopes to have Harper back in time for the Milwaukee series, which begins Monday at Nationals Park. Update: While the Nationals declined to make Harper available to the media either before or after his rehab game with the P-Nats, Harper did send out the following tweet after Tuesday night's game:
