Cake competition on July 13 will honor Yankees-Orioles rivalry

You already know what the rivalry between the Yankees and Orioles looks like on the baseball diamond. But what shape will this heated battle take in the kitchen?

Mary Smith from Charm City Cakes and TV's "Ace of Cakes" will host a cake class and competition on Sunday, July 13 at 11 a.m. at its Baltimore headquarters, 2936 Remington Ave.

The first- and second-place winners will receive tickets and batting practice field passes for that night's nationally televised game between the Yankees and Orioles.

Those 14 and older are eligible, space is limited and there is a $150 fee per participant. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Young Adult Institute: National Institute for People with Disabilities.
