Game 47 lineups: Mets at Nats

The Nationals have a shot to repeat last week's series win in New York with a matinee matchup against the Mets.

Last week, the Nationals lost the first game at Citi Field, before bouncing back to win two games in a row and the series.

This week, the Nationals lost the first game against the Mets at Nationals Park 7-1 and then rebounded last night with a 7-4 victory, highlighted by five homers and 11 strikeouts from Stephen Strasburg.

This will be Tanner Roark's first meeting with the Mets this season. After allowing seven runs May 14 against Miami, Roark erased that memory quickly by giving up just one run over 6 2/3 innings for a 4-1 win Friday night at Miami.

Roark has a 5-0 record in 11 games (six starts) against the Mets with a 3.05 ERA.

Left-hander Stephen Matz (6-1, 2.81 ERA) has never faced the Nationals. He defeated the Brewers 3-2 in his last start, his sixth consecutive win, going seven innings, allowing three hits, two earned runs, walking none and striking out eight. He has never lost a game on the road, going 5-0 with a 2.18 ERA. The win streak is the seventh-longest active streak in the Major Leagues.
