Bryce Harper and College of Southern Nevada won the NJCAA Western District Tournament over the weekend in Lamar, Colorado.
CSN lost the first game of the championship series Saturday to Central Arizona College 21-14 but then rebounded to crush CAC in the second game 25-11.
According to Dan Cabrera from CSNCoyotes on Twitter, Bryce Harper was 6-for-6 with 4 HRs, a double, a triple and 10 RBIs in Game 2.
The Coyotes have a week off to prepare for the NJCAA College World Series which begins May 29th in Grand Junction, Colorado.
CSN returns to Henderson, Nevada from Lamar in eastern Colorado before they venture to Grand Junction in western Colorado next week to attempt to win a national title.
The First-Year Player Draft is June 7 and Harper is expected to be the overall top selection. The Nationals have the number one selection as they did last year when they selected Stephen Strasburg.
Tune into Nats Insider Sunday at 5:00 p.m. on Federal News Radio (1500 AM) in Washington, D.C. for my show which will feature Matt Youmans from the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Bryce Harper and Jason Benetti from the Syracuse Chiefs on Stephen Strasburg.
