Orioles Short Season-A affiliate, the Aberdeen IronBirds will host a day of activities, games and music at Ripken Stadium on Saturday, May 8.
Join the IronBirds for IronFest tomorrow afternoon from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
You'll find plenty to occupy young fans with arts and crafts on the Concourse Level, face painting, and free range of the IronBirds Kids' Zone.
Also take advantage of mini-clinics held on the field with instructional stations for hitting, pitching, and catching; and look to take part in on-field games and activities, like Race the Bases, Home Run Derby, Dodge Ball, and Tailgate Toss.
IronFest will even feature an interactive Q&A session with the IronMan himself, Cal Ripken, Jr. down on the field.
Season ticket holders will be able to pick up their tickets, and individual tickets to Crab Feast Nights and Open Air Cafe Tables will go on sale to the public this Saturday.
You can also do some good for the community by donating blood at the American Red Cross Blood Drive, which will be set up nearby for fans at IronFest.
If you've never seen Rikpen Stadium - complete with its mini Warehouse, modeled after the one at Camden Yards - or attended one of the IronBirds' Crab Feast Nights - which include a game ticket and all you can eat crabs (and other foods) for a flat fee - it might be a fun trip to take this summer.
In the meantime, you can check out IronFest for free this Saturday afternoon in Aberdeen.
