Notes on Kieboom, Simms, Bacus, Goodwin, Severino and Bautista

Catcher Spencer Kieboom had two homers this season for high Single-A Potomac.

He now has two homers in Arizona Fall League play after cranking a three-run shot in the first inning Friday night. Salt River dropped Surprise 5-3.

He also crushed three-run homer Oct. 27 in a 9-4 win over Scottsdale.

Right-hander Dakota Bacus has a 1.29 ERA in seven appearances with one save and three holds. Right-hander Abel de los Santos has allowed only two earned runs in his last three outings.

Right-hander John Simms (3-0) gets another start for Salt River as the Rafters travel to face Glendale at 3:35 p.m. He has a 1.71 ERA and has surrendered only four earned runs in his five games.

* Outfielder Rafael Bautista, playing for Escogido, continues to lead the Dominican Winter League in batting at .347. His on-base percentage is .395 through 21 games with 26 hits and six walks. He is batting .429 with runners on base and .389 with runners in scoring position. Bautista is hitting .385 versus left-handers and .327 versus righties.

* Catcher Pedro Severino is batting .261 through 15 games for Aguilas in the Dominican Winter League. He has four doubles, two homers and four RBIs. Outfielder Brian Goodwin is hitting .254 through 15 games for Margarita in the Venezuelan Winter League with three doubles, one triple, one homer, three stolen bases and three RBIs.

Christian Marrero, the 29-year-old brother of former Nationals prospect Chris Marrero, is hitting .354 for that same team. Chris Marrero is also with Margarita, and is hitting .219.
