The Baltimore Orioles and OriolesREACH are once again joining KidsPeace to host a Halloween-themed race to benefit children in foster care. The ninth annual Trick-or-Trot 5K/1-Mile Walk will start and end at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Saturday, October 27, beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET.
Halloween costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers, the first masters' finishers, and age group winners. There will also be prizes for the best child costume, best adult costume, best family costume, best group costume, and most creative child and adult Orioles costumes. Race participants will enjoy a pre- and post-race party with face painting, an inflatable skeeball game, food, and more Halloween fun with the Oriole Bird.
Interested runners can still register in person for $45 at either of the two packet pick-up events or on race day. The packet pick-up events will take place on October 25 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Charm City Run (7090 Deepage Drive, Columbia, MD 21045), and on October 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dempsey's Brew Pub & Restaurant at Camden Yards. On race day, registration and packet pick-up begins at 6:30 a.m. at Gate A. The first 1,000 registered runners/walkers will receive a race t-shirt (sizes are first come, first serve).
All proceeds benefit KidsPeace Foster Care and Community Programs of Maryland including KEYS (KidsPeace Empowering Youth to Succeed), a program which prepares youth for independence through life-skills training.
