The Orioles today announced that Adam Esselman has been promoted to Manager, Baseball Communications. Esselman will manage the day-to-day operations of baseball communications, including gameday communications, game notes, and player and coach interviews, and will serve as the primary communications representative while the team is on the road.
The 2021 season will mark Esselman's fifth with the Orioles and seventh in professional baseball. Esselman was promoted from Senior Coordinator of Baseball Communications and will continue to serve as the main point of contact between the baseball operations department and communications department. He began his career with the Orioles as Public Relations Assistant (2016-18) and joined the full-time staff as Coordinator of Baseball Information (2018-19) before being elevated to Senior Coordinator of Baseball Communications in 2019. His previous professional baseball experience includes an internship in the Minnesota Twins communications department and as a gameday ticket staff member with the Seattle Mariners.
The Hamburg, Minn., native received his Bachelor of Arts in Management from Gustavus Adolphus College (MN) in 2013 and his Master of Arts in Sport and Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University (WA) in 2015.
