The Orioles have selected outfielder Julio Borbon's contract from Double-A Bowie and he's starting today in center field.
Adam Jones is day-to-day with a strained left hamstring that forced him out of last night's game after the first inning.
Mike Wright has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk after pitching on back-to-back nights. The Orioles will be an arm short in the bullpen.
Borbon, 30, is batting .275/.336/.362 with nine doubles, four triple, six home runs and 25 RBIs in 106 games with Bowie. He also scored 59 runs and stole 28 bases to lead the Baysox.
Borbon is 2-for-9 with the Orioles. They also were in New York earlier this season when they selected his contract.
Wright is 3-4 with a 5.89 ERA in 16 games (12 starts) with the Orioles.
The Orioles' next home run will be their 200th this season.
Manny Machado is batting leadoff today. Borbon is batting ninth.
