Robles leaves game due to dehydration (Nats trail 12-9)

Center fielder Victor Robles took a knee with one out in the top of the second during a Nick Markakis at-bat.

With the count 2-0, Robles went down to one knee and the game was stopped. Following consultation for a couple of minutes with Nationals director of athletic training Paul Lessard and manager Davey Martinez, Robles left the game. Sitting on the field, the center fielder appeared dizzy and dazed as he spoke to Lessard. He was replaced by Michael A. Taylor.

Gametime temperature was 81 degrees, but it is breezy at Nats Park.

Nationals right-hander Aníbal Sánchez worked two scoreless innings, allowing only an Austin Riley single.

Juan Soto connected on an RBI single and Matt Adams crushed a 3-0 Mike Foltynewicz pitch for a two-run shot in the first inning to give the Nats a 3-0 lead. Adams has 10 homers on the season.

After two innings, the Nats lead the Braves 3-0.

Update: Tyler Flowers hits a solo shot in the third to get the Braves on the board, his seventh on the season. The Nats quickly answered in the bottom of the frame on a two-run triple by Soto.

After three innings, the Nats lead the Braves 5-1.

Update II: The Nationals announce Robles left the game with symptoms of dehydration and is receiving an IV.

Markakis with an RBI single in the fourth for the Braves.

Mid-fourth, the Nats lead the Braves 5-2.

Update III: With two outs in the fifth, Freddie Freeman drills a two-run single to right field.

Mid-fifth, the Nats lead the Braves 5-4.

Update IV: The Nationals got those three runs back in the fifth. Three singles in a row for Trea Turner, Adam Eaton and Anthony Rendon made it 6-4 Nats. That was it for Foltynewicz. Former Nats southpaw Jerry Blevins arrived and surrendered a sacrifice fly to left field by Soto that scored Eaton. Soto has four RBIs tonight. The Nats led 7-4. Adams and Kurt Suzuki then singled to lift the lead to 8-4 Nats.

Update V: Trevor Rosenthal walked three batters in a row to begin the seventh. Tanner Rainey walked in a run before Freeman crushed a two-run double to tie the game at 8-8.

In the bottom of the seventh against A.J. Minter, the Nats took back the lead. Adams grounded into a fielder's choice advance Rendon to third base, who came home on a wild pitch.

After seven, the Nats lead the Braves 9-8.

Update VI: The Braves counter punched again with four runs in the eighth. Dansby Swanson capped off the scoring with a three-run shot off of Joe Ross.

After eight innings, the Braves lead the Nats 12-9.
