Suns' Ramsey and Dykstra get decisive hits in wins over Kannapolis

A nice couple of games for outfielder Caleb Ramsey and third baseman Cutter Dykstra, as they continue to play consistent baseball for the Low Single-A Hagerstown Suns. On Tuesday, Ramsey went 3-for-3 with two triples and three RBIs in the Suns 7-6 win over Kannapolis. Then Wednesday night, Ramsey hit another triple, this one in the fourth, to plate three runs in helping the Suns to a 5-4 win over the Suns. Dykstra's two-run double in the eighth put the Suns up to stay. Dykstra hit his seventh homer of the season in Tuesday night's victory. Ramsey is hitting .292 through 117 games with 14 doubles, 10 triples, 6 homers and 43 RBIs. Dykstra is connecting at .284 in 99 games, with 26 doubles, 59 RBIs and 30 stolen bases. Ramsey's 126 hits are ninth in the South Atlantic League, while Dykstra is tenth in steals with 30. Outfielder Billy Burns has 36 stolen bases, good for seventh in the league, and is hitting .313 in 75 games with 13 doubles and 37 RBIs. Manager Brian Daubach has preached being aggressive on the base paths all season. Potomac Nationals shortstop Ricky Hague pointed to outfield coordinator Tony Tarasco emphasizing their speed as a weapon all the way back in spring training. The Suns are third in the South Atlantic League in stolen bases with 181, while Asheville leads the league with 187 thefts.
