The Avett Brothers to perform postgame concert at Camden Yards on Sept. 16

The Orioles today announced additional information for Thursday's Birdland Summer Music Series postgame concert by Grammy-nominated folk-rock band The Avett Brothers, including an opening performance by rising country star Carter Faith, after the 5:05 p.m. game against the New York Yankees. The postgame concert will begin shortly after the game concludes and will kick off with a four-song set by Carter Faith, followed by an hour-long performance by The Avett Brothers.

The Avett Brothers, a folk-rock band, featuring four band members, including brothers Scott Avett (banjo, lead vocals) and Seth Avett (guitar, lead vocals), Bob Crawford (double bass), and Joe Kwon (cello). The band made mainstream waves with their 2009 major label debut "I And Love And You," landing at No. 16 on the Billboard Top 200 and garnering critical acclaim. "True Sadness" (2016) achieved The Avett Brothers' highest career debut to date hitting No. 1 on Billboard's Top Albums Chart, Top Rock Albums Chart, and Digital Albums Chart and No. 3 on Billboard Top 200 scoring two Grammy nominations. That same year, the band was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. In 2019, the band released their 10th studio album "Closer Than Together" featuring single "High Steppin'" which reached No. 1 on the Americana Radio Chart. Their latest album "The Third Gleam" (August 2020) debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Americana/Folk Albums Chart, with the vinyl debuting at No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums Chart.

Carter Faith, who released her debut EP "Let Love Be Love" last month with more than three million streams, will open for The Avett Brothers immediately following the game. Her first performance was at Oriole Park in 2018 and has consistently performed at Camden Yards since her debut. She recently crossed 14 million streams with her first four singles, was featured in prominent publications such as People Magazine, Billboard and American Songwriter among many others, and was dubbed the "future for the next 10 years of Nashville" by Apple Music's Ward Guenther.

Exclusive to the ballpark on Thursday, Sept. 16, fans can get the P3 Pork Three Ways sandwich, which features smoked pork, hickory smoked bacon, and pork rinds, topped with southern slaw, sweet pickles, and Carolina gold BBQ sauce on a brioche split top bun. The specialty food item is a nod to The Avett Brothers' Carolina roots and will be available one night only for $15 at Boog's Smokehouse, located near Legend's Park.

As part of the Orioles' commitment to Empowering our Youth and Strengthening our Community, fans have the opportunity to share their love of music by making a voluntary donation to benefit Baltimore-based arts and music education organizations at the time of their ticket purchase. The Orioles will match up to $10,000 in fan donations, with all proceeds benefiting the Orioles Charitable Foundation's Athletes and Artists Play for Kids Educational Scholarship Fund. Since establishing the Athletes and Artists fund in 2015, more than $400,000 has benefited Girls, Inc., Baltimore School for the Arts, Jubilee Arts, the YMCA, and other charitable organizations in Baltimore, Sarasota, and Nashville. In addition, Jubilee Arts will be at the Community Booth near Gate E and funds from the grab bag sales, which includes autographed memorabilia from former Orioles players, will benefit Jubilee Arts and Athletes & Artists Play for Kids.
