Bundy scratched from today's start

The Orioles have scratched Dylan Bundy from today's start against the Rays. Chris Tillman will take his place.

No reason has been given for the switch. The Orioles said they will provide more information later this afternoon.

Bundy is 13-9 with a 4.24 ERA in 28 starts over 169 2/3 innings. He would have been working on an extra day of rest.

Manager Buck Showalter chose Bundy after the right-hander had a good work day. They met yesterday in Showalter's office before batting practice.

Tillman has made two relief appearances since the start, the most recent covering three innings on Sept. 16 at Yankee Stadium. He threw 56 pitches while allowing one run.

The Orioles announced that Kevin Gausman and Gabriel Ynoa will start the two games in Pittsburgh beginning Tuesday. The Pirates will send right-handers Trevor Williams and Chad Kuhl to the mound.

Shortstop Tim Beckham isn't available today due to a hamstring injury sustained in the ninth inning of last night's 9-6 loss to the Rays. He will receive treatment on Monday while the team is off.
