Davis does it again: Hits 32nd homer, drives in three as O's beat Sox

That saying that you can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him probably applies to Chris Davis right now. Tonight, the Chicago White Sox couldn't slow him even a bit. Davis drove in three runs as the Orioles beat Chicago 4-2 in Scott Feldman's first game with the club. Davis hit a solo homer down the left-field line in the fourth to give the O's a 2-1 lead. It was his 32nd of the year. Davis drove in two runs with a double to right in the eighth to break a 2-2 tie. Yes, he gave his club the lead with key hits twice tonight. Feldman got a no-decision, but pitched well after a shaky start where he gave up a run in the last of the first. On the night, he went six innings, allowing six hits and two runs with no walks and six strikeouts. He threw 98 pitches and this was his 10th quality start in 16 outings. Davis has now hit 10 homers in his last 16 games and 21 in his last 44. He has 31 RBIs over his last 20 games with eight multi-RBI games in that stretch. Darren O'Day got the win in relief and Jim Johnson pitched the ninth to record his 29th save. The Orioles improved to 48-37 by winning for the fifth time in six games and they are 25-16 over the last 41 games. They improve to 23-20 on the road and play the White Sox at 2:10 p.m. in the Fourth of July series finale.
