Game 3 lineups: Nats vs. Mets

It's a cold, gray morning here on South Capitol Street, and the infamous Skittles tarp has been covering the infield. But don't despair: The forecast calls for the rain to end soon and the sun to come out. It's going to be cold and windy, but the Nationals and Mets will be finishing their season-opening series as scheduled.

You hate to say this after only two games, but let's go ahead and say it: The Nats really need to win today. It's not just about avoiding a season-opening sweep at the hands of a division rival, it's also about not going into this week's showdown with the Phillies at 0-3. Can you imagine that scene Tuesday night as Bryce Harper comes back to town?

And there's some pressure on the lineup to do what it has done to Zack Wheeler several times before. The Nats have enjoyed a good amount of success against the Mets right-hander, including this spring in Port St. Lucie. Anthony Rendon is 9-for-26 in his career against Wheeler. Ryan Zimmerman is 8-for-23 with two homers. Trea Turner is 5-for-13. Adam Eaton is 5-for-10.

We'll see if they can keep that up and give everyone around here reason to smile for 48 hours until the circus comes to town.
