Adam LaRoche got the day off on Wednesday for the final game of the Nationals' six-game road trip after he fouled a ball off his right foot the night before.
That opened the door for Tyler Moore's two-home run, five-RBI performance in Wednesday's win over the Blue Jays.
Today, LaRoche returns to the Nats lineup for the series opener against the Yankees, and Moore returns to the bench. LaRoche will be back in the cleanup spot in the order and will play first.
Here's the Nats lineup for tonight:
LF Steve Lombardozzi
CF Bryce Harper
3B Ryan Zimmerman
1B Adam LaRoche
RF Michael Morse
SS Ian Desmond
2B Danny Espinosa
C Jesus Flores
P Gio Gonzalez
I'm interested to hear how confident everyone is entering this series with the Yanks. You all feeling a third straight sweep over an American League East team? Will the Yankees be a little too much to handle?
For what it's worth, I'm predicting two Nats victories - today and Sunday. How many games do you see the Nats winning out of this three-game set?
