The way MASNsports.com is structured, conversation is encouraged. And good conversation requires strong, distinctive voices. The blogosphere covering baseball is Washington, D.C., is one of the strongest collections of baseball observers in the major leagues, chocked full of well-reasoned opinions and creative storytellers.
We're happy to once again welcome these dedicated writers to our pages for the 2013. Guest bloggers will return to MASNsports.com, offering their viewpoints each weekday during the season, beginning Monday, April 1 before the opening day game between the Marlins and Nationals.
Since the start of the guest blogger initiative during the 2011 season, MASNsports.com has offered a platform for area bloggers to have their say. It's a win-win, really - we get to introduce our readers and viewers to some talented writers they otherwise might not be aware of, and the guest bloggers get a larger audience and some well-deserved exposure.
Marty Niland of D.C. Baseball History leads off our lineup of guest bloggers with regular Monday contributions, and will be followed by Ted Leavengood of Seamheads.com on Tuesdays, David Huzzard of Citizens of Natstown on Wednesdays, Rachel Levitin of We Love DC on Thursdays and newcomer Patrick Reddington of Federal Baseball on Fridays.
That'll be the rotation for the first half. After the All-Star break, we'll switch things up and integrate some new voices into the mix.
But get ready for some unique observations on Nationals baseball, beginning Monday morning. And feel free to use our comments section to engage in a dialogue with our guest bloggers. They'd love to hear from you.
