As the Washington Nationals gear up for the second half of the 2014 baseball
season, the team today announced the addition of Faith Day to the promotional
schedule, which features a free postgame concert with contemporary Christian
musician Lincoln Brewster on Saturday, September 6.
Lincoln Brewster's career - which includes collaborations with Steve Perry
(Journey) and Michael W. Smith (Grammy Award-winning Christian music artist) -
has brought national acclaim to the California native. His 2007 hit "Everlasting God" climbed to #1 on Christian radio, while the ballad "Love the Lord" reached #3 on the charts. Lincoln's most recent album, Today Is the Day, has been praised for its wide-range of musical rhythms and sounds.
The performance will begin approximately 15 minutes after the final out of the
game. Fans who wish to attend the free concert must have a valid ticket for that day's game, which can be purchased at nationals.com/faith.
In addition, Nationals fans will receive even more promotional items throughout
the latter half of the season, including the recently added Tote Bag presented
by Kaiser Permanente (Aug. 19) and Nationals T-Shirt presented by American
University (Aug. 22). An additional night of postgame Freedom Fireworks (July
18) and $1 Ice Cream presented by Good Humor (Sept. 26) as well as a weeknight
Pups in the Park outing (Sept. 24) round out the latest slate of promotions.
The Nationals updated promotional calendar for the remainder of the season,
including select group sale dates and community relations initiatives, can be
