The Washington Nationals today returned from rehab and reinstated catcher Wilson Ramos from the 15-Day Disabled List and optioned catcher Jhonatan Solano to Syracuse of the Triple-A International League. Nationals Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement.
Ramos, who missed the last 44 contests with a left hamstring strain, is batting .250 (12-for-48) with three doubles, two home runs, six RBI, four walks and four runs scored in 14 games this season with the Nationals. The 25-year-old played in five games during his rehab assignment with Washington's Gulf Coast League affiliate and the Single-A Potomac Nationals.
Solano hit .167 (6-for-36) with two doubles, two RBI, two walks and one run scored in 16 games this season with Washington.
