Nats will get lots of love on FOX in 2013 (plus spring training statement)

VIERA, Fla. - As part of a recent partnership between MASN and WUSA 9, the Nationals will have 20 regular season games simulcast on Channel 9 in 2013. Nats fans will also be able to catch their squad on FOX a number of times this season. According to this FOX release, the Nats are scheduled to appear on their Saturday regional broadcasts a whopping nine times. The game times for these Saturday FOX broadcasts will remain the same. Here are the Nationals games FOX is scheduled to air: April 13: Braves at Nats April 20: Nats at Mets April 27: Reds at Nats May 4: Nats at Pirates May 25: Phillies at Nats June 1: Nats at Braves June 15: Nats at Indians July 13: Nats at Marlins July 27: Mets at Nats FOX airs a few games regionally every Saturday, one of which is picked up as the game of the week and aired nationally. Of course, outside of all the FOX- and ESPN-televised games, MASN will have you covered for every regular season contest. And I'll have full coverage here on MASNsports.com regardless of whether we'll be airing the game on MASN or not. Also, and by no means is this anything new, but the Nationals sent out a statement saying that they're looking into possible spring training sites outside of Viera. Here's the full statement: "The Washington Nationals are continuing to explore options for spring training sites beyond the current lease. Our current focus, however, is on what we expect to be an exciting 2013 spring training season in Viera. While we certainly appreciate public interest in our future plans, we will be making no further comment until there is something new to report." Again, that's pretty much where things have stood for the last few months, with maybe the only difference being the Nationals have officially gone on record saying they're looking around for other options for a new location.
