Orioles lineup vs. Blue Jays (Hunter Harvey recalled)

Chris Davis is back in the Orioles lineup tonight for the series opener against the Blue Jays at Camden Yards. Davis sat out yesterday's game in New York due to an illness.

Danny Valencia is the designated hitter against Jays left-hander J.A. Happ and Anthony Santander stays in right field. Caleb Joseph is behind the plate.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the 1-2-5 double play executed yesterday in the 12th inning was the first in Orioles history and the first in the majors since September 7, 2012, when the Astros'
Lucas Harrell, Chris Snyder and Matt Dominguez did it against the Reds.

The 11 strikeouts from Orioles relievers yesterday were the most since July 6, 2016 against the Dodgers in Los Angeles, when the bullpen recorded 12 in a 14-inning win.

Trey Mancini has reached base in nine of 10 games.

Manny Machado is 7-for-15 with one double, two home runs, five RBIs and two walks in the last three games.

Alex Cobb made a start today against the Twins in an extended spring training game in Sarasota and allowed two runs (one earned) and six hits in six innings. He walked one batter, struck out eight and surrendered a home run.

Cobb threw 93 pitches.

The Orioles could recall Cobb to make his debut on April 14 or 15 against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Update: The Orioles have recalled Hunter Harvey from Double-A Bowie and optioned left-hander Tanner Scott to Triple-A Norfolk.

Manager Buck Showalter needed another fresh arm and preferred a right-hander, and Harvey was scheduled to start tonight for Bowie.

Harvey, a first-round pick in 2013, hasn't pitched above low Single-A because of a series of injuries, the most serious leading to Tommy John surgery. He's in the Orioles clubhouse this afternoon.

The Orioles didn't want Scott working on back-to-back days after he threw yesterday in New York, so he'll return to Norfolk's bullpen.
