Orioles lineup vs. Rays (and notes)

Hyun Soo Kim is in the Orioles' lineup tonight. However, Mark Trumbo will begin the game on the bench.

Michael Bourn is in right field and Pedro Alvarez is the designated hitter.

Adam Jones is batting .304/.351/.449 (21-for-69) with a double, three home runs, seven RBIs, five walks and 10 runs scored in his last 17 games.

Manny Machado has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 games, batting .302/.343/.540 (19-for-63) with a double, triple, four home runs, 10 RBIs and nine runs.

J.J. Hardy is 8-for-17 in his last six games, with two doubles, a home run, six RBIs, four walks and two runs scored.

Sixty of Jonathan Schoop's 152 hits have been for extra bases - 35 doubles, one triple and 24 home runs.

Chris Davis' next strikeout will be his 200th of the season.

Darren O'Day threw his second simulated game this afternoon, with Ryan Flaherty and Paul Janish serving as hitters. Manager Buck Showalter spoke with him on the field. Everything looked good.

The Orioles chose Double-A Bowie catcher Chance Sisco as their minor league Player of the Year and left-hander Donnie Hart as their minor league Pitcher of the Year.

Bowie infielder Drew Dosch has been named this year's recipient of the Elrod Hendricks Minor League Community Service Award. Minor league medical coordinator Dave Walker, A.T.C., C.S.C.S, has been named the winner of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Player Development Award. And area scout Thom Dreier (Southern Texas) will receive the Jim Russo Scout of the Year Award.

The Orioles also will honor Single-A Delmarva catcher Yermin Mercedes, winner of the South Atlantic League batting crown after posting a .353 average (120-for-340) over 91 games.
